Breaking news page = existent
November 8, 2009So I finally figured out how to transfer my breaking news posts to a separate page – happy to be slightly more tech-savvy now. =) I also added another link for the International Campaign for Tibet (ICT). The ICT “promotes human rights and democratic freedoms for the people of Tibet” and helps to keep the world updated on the situation in Tibet. On their website, they also provide ways for anyone interested in the cause to take action and give donations.
In other news, a friend showed me an article in the Indiana Daily Student the other day about an IU student who traveled to Tibet and was made to leave the country soon after. Apparently, she witnessed violence there nearly every day, not only toward monks and protestors, but ordinary, innocent-bystander Tibetans. I will definitely be adding a summary of that story to my Breaking News shortly.
